The Singer

Here's another side to Phil. Phil bought his first guitar in northern Italy way back in 1967. Shortly afterwards he teamed up with school mate, Rob Gittins and went on to form Victoria, a Pop & Rock band touring the clubs and Odeons of the North. Victoria disbanded (pun intended) in the autumn of 1974 and Phil went on to play with a variety of local musicians until putting his guitars away in the mid eighties while raising a family with his wife Janet.

Now playing again, Phil has left his Pop & Rock days behind and has moved into singing contemporary folk and Irish favourites. His current influences include such musical icons as Christy Moore, Neil Young, Richard Thompson, Wally Page and The Saw Doctors. See also: www.myspace.com/philmaharg
